well, i mean, he said that he went with his friend to Asia, and obviously, US is not in Asia lolthough want i want to know is why Taiwan specifically =)

They are co-dependent. The US economy is based off of a massive debt, which China bought out a majority of. If China collects the debt, the US will not have no money to buy Chinese products. If the US doesn't purchase Chinese products, China will have to collect its loans to the US, which the US can't pay off. It's actually a factor that maintains a stable US/China relationship.

@paulsviplistA search on Wikipedia will get you the answer pretty quick.Teachers in Asia are up there, they are respected mostly by the public.GDP p.c. is around USD16000, which is behind Japan and Singapore in Asia, around the same with Korea.GNP at around USD15000Taiwanese mostly use Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, there are also Hakka and Aboriginal languages.
