@Wanderlust67 "(a) the plumber sounds like he's from Bayonne or the Bronx,"That is especially funny when you think of this as an educational program that is supposed to tech kids how to pronounce words properly. Many of the voice-overs (e.g. Joan Rivers) are not exactly role-models for correct pronunciation.

As a kid growing up in NJ, it completely escaped me that (a) the plumber sounds like he's from Bayonne or the Bronx, and (b) that the plumber had a heart attack! Now that I'm over 40, I can see why my Dad found it so. funny. |
